Heather Gillis - Guide

Heather lives in Seattle, WA and is a WMA certified Wilderness First Responder as well as a Leave No Trace Master Educator. She spent 7 years as a backcountry ranger in Olympic National Park and has guided Fitpacking trips to Olympic National Park and North Cascades National Park. She has personally backpacked various destinations in California, Colorado, Arkansas, and the Great Smoky Mountains

She is also a Yoga Teacher certified at the Kripalu Center in Massachusetts. Everybody loves Heather.


Todd Soprych -- Guide

Todd is a Wilderness First Responder who lives in Savannah, GA.

He has guided Fitpacking trips to Redwood NP, Shenandoah NP, and Great Smoky Mountains NP. He has thru-hiked the entire 2200-mile Appalachian Trail and plans to thru-hike the entire Pacific Crest Trail in 2010. Wow!

Brett Vivyan -- Guide

Brett is a Wilderness First Responder and an incredible cook who lives in Arcata, CA.

He has thru-hiked the entire 2200 mile Appalachian Trail. Wow!

Brett hass served as Program Director and Naturalist at the Ralph S. Mason YMCA camp and the Web of Life Field School. He has also backpacked 1 month through the Peruvian Amazon, as well as the Catskills, NY, Dolly Sods, WV, Sangre de Cristo, CO and Sonora Pass, CA


Deborah Lusk - Guide

Deb lives in Phoenix, AZ and is a Wilderness Medicine Institute certified Wilderness First Responder. She has a wealth of guiding experience with Arizona Outback Adventures and has guided multiple Fitpacking trips to the New Hampshire White Mountains.

Erika Storbeck - Guide

Erika lives in Tacoma, WA and is a Wilderness Medicine Institute / NOLS certified Wilderness First Responder and Certified Leave No Trace Master. Erika is a graduate of a NOLS educator semester where she spent 90 days in the wilderness in Grand Tetons, WY and Canyonlands, UT. She is also a member of the Washington Air National Guard and spent 4 months in Kandahar, Afghanistan. She has guided trips to Mt. Rainier with Fitpacking.

Jan Lockie - Guide

Jan lives in San Rafael, CA and is a NOLS certified Wilderness First Responder. She has backpacked throughout the Sierra and Redwoods and has led many kayaking trips for the Sierra Club in California, Alaska, The Everglades, and British Columbia

She also leads trips for disabled individuals with John Muir's grandson, Michael Muir.


Chris Marshman - Guide

Chris lives in Bullhead City, AZ and is a Wilderness Medicine certified Wilderness First Responder. Chris teaches a backpacking class at Mojave Community College in Arizona. He also has a variety of backpacking experiences, especially desert related, including:
